A Proud History

It all began with one truck and a dream. Operating out of his home, Louis "Peewee" Harris began the business with a combination of fuel oil delivery and service work. The company formally incorporated in 1956.

Using his satisfied customers as a firm base for expanding the business, Louis Harris developed a professionally and highly trained crew of service technicians and installers. Together, the Harris team successfully entered the "full service" comfort business.
In the mid-60s, the company continued to grow into the gas heating and air conditioning markets.
As the company transitioned into third-generation ownership, with David and Bruce Harris at the helm,
and then the fourth generation, with Douglas joining
the family business, Harris Comfort continued its reputation for superior service and great value. Today, with thousands of installations to their credit, and
thousands of satisfied residential and commercial
customers, Harris Comfort brings total comfort, year
round, to the residents of Bucks County.
NATE Certified Technicians
At Harris Comfort we're proud of our NATE Certified technicians. NATE (North American Technician Excellence) is the only nationwide third-party certification program accepted by the HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) industry. NATE is a voluntary program to ensure that qualified technicians have the core competencies necessary to maintain your home's equipment. Getting certified is not easy — while other programs rubber stamp their applicants, NATE has one of the LOWEST passing rates — because its standards are the highest in the industry! When you have a Harris Comfort NATE Certified technician come to your home, you know you're in good hands!
