The Harris Comfort story

For more than four generations, our name has been synonymous with excellence in home comfort services.

It all began with one truck and a dream. Operating out of his home, Louis “Peewee” Harris began the business with a combination of fuel oil delivery and service work. The company was formally incorporated in 1956.

Louis Harris enlarged the business, bringing on professional and highly trained service technicians and installers. The Harris Comfort team successfully entered the full-service comfort business. In the mid-’60s, the company expanded its offerings into the propane gas, heating and air conditioning markets, with a best-in-region team of highly-trained pros.

In the decades that followed, four generations of the Harris family have been involved in the business, and Harris Comfort’s reputation for superior heating and air conditioning, heating fuel, back-up power generation and other home comfort services has only grown. Today, with thousands of installations to our credit and thousands of satisfied residential and commercial customers, Harris Comfort and its NATE-certified technicians bring total comfort, year-round, to all the families and businesses that count on us.
